I'm sure there are others. I'm looking for reasons other than explicit control of advertised routes or origin code.
Feb 23, 2017 at 1:15 comment added Ron Trunk The way you've phrased the question makes any answer trivial, since you've included the use of route maps. You can use a route map to change nearly every BGP route attribute. OTOH, if you have lots of routes, redistribute might be easier to manage.
