Nov 25, 2013 at 17:06 | comment | added | James Sneeringer | This was it. Cisco QoS is a weak area for me, and I misunderstood the circumstances in which these thresholds kick in. The links provided were a big help. I adjusted the class so the minimum threshold was still higher than the mean queue depth, and the drop rate has dropped to zero. We need to continue using WRED, because in production there additional traffic in this class, but we'll tweak the exponential weighing constant as needed to deal with that, as you suggested. | |
