RFC 1918 “Address Allocation for Private Internets” (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1918) specifies
192.168.0.0/16 as private addresses suitable for unrestricted private internal use. Many home networks use the
192.168.1.0/24 address space.
10.0.0.0/8 is a larger address space than
192.168.0.0/16, it would make sense to use
10.0.0.0/8 since there can be more IPs per network.
10.0.0.0/8 commonly used instead?
