At my workplace we use Cisco video phones, CUCM, VCS, and MCU for conferences. Recently we have had some embarrassing situations where someone puts the conference on hold and everyone has to talk over the default music on hold.

Is it possible to selectively enable/disable music on hold? Alternatively, it is possible to prevent people from putting a particular DN on hold? Is there some other way to prevent music on hold from playing on a conference bridge?

  • Unfortunately, your question is too broad to answer, other than ,"Yes," without a lot more information, and it will get too large to deal with here in a hurry. This is one of those cases where you may need to hire a consultant for a couple of hours, or get some help from Cisco (because you have a service contract). – Ron Maupin Jul 6 '20 at 15:35
