Ping to default gateway failing

Question

I am trying to ping to a default gateway which i have configured as 171.2.0.1 but somehow the ping is failing . I am new to network domain so i have less idea about it . Any help is appreciated .This is my interface status

Since ARP cannot complete its request for 171.2.0.1 it seems that that gateway is not connected to the same network as GigabitEthernet7. Both need to share a common subnet/L2 segment for ARP's broadcast to work.

Check with your ISP whether that config is correct.

You've got VRF forwarding configured partially, I'm not sure whether that makes sense. Also, you're mixing public addresses (171.2.0.0/16) and private addressing without NAT. If there's a NAT instance elsewhere that might make sense but I suspect it does not.
